Nala Addu Terms of Service

Acceptance and authorized use
- By using Nala Addu, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the app on behalf of Addu City Council or another organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so and must also follow that organization's policies.
- The app is intended for legitimate municipal issue reporting and management. Access may be limited by account role, council authorization, or the configured service operator.
Accounts and security
- You must provide accurate sign-in information, keep your device and credentials secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Access may be suspended or terminated to address misuse, security risk, employment or role changes, legal requirements, or service discontinuation.
Reports and user content
- You retain any rights you hold in descriptions, notes, photos, and other material you submit. You authorize the council and service operator to store, reproduce, process, display, transmit, and retain that material as needed to manage municipal work, maintain records, and operate the service.
- Submit accurate, relevant information and only content you are permitted to share. Avoid unnecessary personal, confidential, copyrighted, dangerous, or sensitive information in reports and photographs.
- Reports may be edited, assigned, rejected, resolved, retained, disclosed, or removed according to council procedures, law, and operational needs.
Prohibited conduct
- You must not use the app unlawfully; impersonate another person; submit knowingly false or abusive reports; infringe rights; expose confidential data; upload malware; probe or bypass security; interfere with the service; scrape data without authorization; or use another person's account.
Location and safety
- Location and address results can be inaccurate. Verify report details before submission and do not rely on the app for emergency response, navigation, public safety, or other time-critical decisions.
- Do not use the app, camera, or device in a way that creates danger, violates workplace rules, trespasses, or distracts you while driving or operating equipment. Contact the appropriate emergency service for urgent hazards.
Service availability and changes
- The app and hosted service are provided on an as-available basis. Offline queues and background sync reduce disruption but do not guarantee successful delivery, data recovery, accuracy, or continuous access.
- Features, permissions, limits, servers, and availability may change, and the service may be suspended or discontinued without guarantee of advance notice. Keep independent records of information that must not be lost.
Open source and third-party services
- Source code use, modification, and redistribution are governed by any license included in the repository. These Terms govern use of the app and hosted service and do not reduce rights granted by an applicable open-source license.
- A modified or self-hosted version is operated by its distributor or server operator. That party is responsible for its users, security, data, legal notices, support, and compliance and must not imply official endorsement without permission.
- The app depends on third-party libraries, device services, maps or geocoding capabilities, hosting, and network infrastructure that may have separate terms and may change or fail.
Disclaimers and liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app and service are provided as is and without warranties, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, security, non-infringement, or successful synchronization.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maintainers, contributors, council, and service operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed reports, service interruption, device damage, or decisions based on app information.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
Termination, changes, and contact
- You may stop using the app at any time. Provisions concerning content permissions, ownership, disclaimers, liability, and legal compliance survive termination where applicable.
- These Terms may be revised as the app or service changes. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
